How sound therapy and education have helped hundreds of kids to read confidently

Reading uses more senses than just the eyes. The combination of a specific and carefully planned reading curriculum with Sound Therapy filtering and music has resulted in a highly effective multi-sensory program.

Catherine McLennan (Founder)

Catherine is the program designer of the Listen to Read curriculum. Drawing on her primary and high school teaching experience, she saw a need for a more integrated approach to remedial reading instruction.

Listen to Read developed over a 14 year period. Whilst personally tutoring over 500 students from the southern suburbs of Sydney, Catherine documented strategies she had used to improve reading skills.

Her mission is to give all children the opportunities that come from fluent reading.

“Students who experience problems with the reading process need to boost their memory, so that reading becomes a fluent, non-frustrating, enjoyable experience.”
