Listen to Read came about through the collaborative efforts of two independently successful women.

These innovators saw the need to bridge the gap in reading instruction so they developed a structured way to piece the “reading jigsaw” together. The combination of a specific and carefully planned reading curriculum with the added benefit of Sound Therapy filtering and music, has resulted in a highly effective multi-sensory program.

Catherine McLennan  (Co-founder)

Catherine  is an experienced primary and high school teacher and program designer of the Listen to Read curriculum.

Seeing the need for a more integrated approach to remedial reading instruction, she developed the Listen To Read process and curriculum over a 14 year period.

Through her private practice she has specialised in remedial reading and has helped over 500 students.

Her mission is to give all children the opportunities that stem from fluent reading.

“Students who experience problems with the reading process need to boost their memory, so that reading becomes a fluent, non-frustrating, enjoyable experience.”
